Brain and Mind Centre

The University of Sydney

The Lenity Research Fellowship funds research into neurodegenerative diseases, such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinsons, Dementia, addictions and other conditions of the brain and mind. These diseases are becoming increasingly common in the aged. It is expected that in the next 50 years, the elderly will outnumber children for the first time in history. This means that it is imperative to improve knowledge about the causes, diagnosis and treatment of these disabling diseases of the brain. The University of Sydney is a global leader in research and treatments in this field of medicine.
